What is the composition of Buffer PB?

The QIAquick PCR Purification Kit provides spin columns, buffers, and collection tubes for silica-membrane-based purification of PCR products >100 bp. DNA of up to 10 kb is purified using a simple and fast bind-wash-elute procedure and an elution volume of 30–50 μl. An optional pH indicator allows easy determination of the optimal pH for DNA binding to the spin column. The procedure can be fully automated on the QIAcube Connect. For optimal results it is recommended to use this product together with QIAvac 24 Plus. QIAquick PCR Purification standard protocols can also be executed using the TRACKMAN Connected system, paired with PIPETMAN M Connected pipettes, both from Gilson. The TRACKMAN Connected system guides researchers through the QIAquick PCR Purification protocols while automatically adjusting the Bluetooth-enabled PIPETMAN M Connected pipette settings. The QIAprep Spin Miniprep Kit is designed for isolating high-purity plasmid or cosmid DNA, offering up to 20 µg yields for various molecular biology applications like sequencing and cloning. The QIAprep 96 Turbo Kits provide QIAprep 96 and TurboFilter 96 plates for purification of up to 20 µg molecular biology grade plasmid DNA per well. For optimal results it is recommended to use this product together with QIAvac 96.

The MinElute PCR Purification Kit provides spin columns, buffers, and collection tubes for silica-membrane-based purification of PCR products 70 bp – 4 kb in size. The spin columns are designed to allow elution in very small volumes (as little as 10 μl), delivering high yields of highly concentrated DNA. An optional pH indicator allows easy determination of the optimal pH for DNA binding to the spin column. The procedure can be fully automated on the QIAcube Connect.

Buffer PB is used in DNA cleanup procedures and enables efficient binding of single- or double-stranded PCR products to the spin-column membrane. Buffer QG is a solubilization and binding buffer (with pH indicator), for use in DNA cleanup procedures. Buffer PE is a wash buffer for use in DNA cleanup procedures. It is supplied as a 5x concentrate of 100 ml, providing a final volume of 500 ml of buffer.

Plasmid Buffers are used in plasmid DNA purification procedures. They include Buffer P1 (resuspension buffer), Buffer P2 (lysis buffer), Buffer N3 and Buffer P3 (neutralization buffers), Buffer QC (wash buffer) Buffer QBT (equilibration buffer) and Buffer QF (elution buffer).

The QIAwave Plasmid Miniprep Kit is an eco-friendlier version of our standard QIAprep Spin Miniprep Kit. The QIAwave Kit uses up to 22% less plastic and up to 14% less cardboard than our standard kit and offers waste tubes made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic that you can reuse throughout the procedure. QIAwave buffers come as concentrates, reducing the amount of plastic by up to 93% per bottle. To save paper, there are no printed protocols in the kit.
