Product Details
The ipsogen RUNX1-RUNX1T1 Kit is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures. The kit is for real-time PCR on the Rotor-Gene Q and other real-time PCR instruments. The ipsogen RUNX1-RUNX1T1 Kit provides reagents optimized for reliable and sensitive detection and quantification of RUNX1-RUNX1T1 (or AML1-ETO) fusion gene transcripts in bone marrow or peripheral blood samples, relative to ABL control gene expression.
Performance
To ensure highest sensitivity, the ipsogen RUNX1-RUNX1T1 Kit has been optimized to detect ABL and RUNX1-RUNX1T1 fusion gene transcripts over a wide dynamic range (see figure " Sensitive detection of RUNX1-RUNX1T1 and ABL standards").

Principle
The ipsogen RUNX1-RUNX1T1 Kit is a ready-to-use kit for detection and quantification of RUNX1-RUNX1T1 fusion gene transcripts using real-time PCR. The kit is based on the amplification and detection of specific RUNX1-RUNX1T1 fusion gene transcripts, relative to ABL control gene expression in total RNA (see figures " RUNX1-RUNX1T1 fusion gene transcript" and " ABL control gene transcript", and provides high levels of specificity, sensitivity, and reproducibility.
Each ipsogen RUNX1-RUNX1T1 Kit provides 3 standard dilutions for the ABL gene and 5 standard dilutions for the RUNX1-RUNX1T1 fusion gene. Primers and probe sets are designed according to Europe Against Cancer (EAC) recommendations.

Procedure
The first step is reverse transcription of total RNA in a sample into cDNA. The second step is the amplification of cDNA by real-time PCR. Using the ipsogen RUNX1-RUNX1T1 Kit allows detection and quantification of RUNX1-RUNX1T1 fusion gene and ABL transcripts. Simply start the reaction using the optimized protocols described in the kit handbook.
