3201 - What quality of RNA can be used with the GeneRead rRNA depletion kit?

It is quite effective in removing degraded human, mouse or rat rRNA (down to RIN of 4 or so). Degraded samples will work (RIS<3) but efficiency of rRNA depletion is ~96-97% rather than 99.9%, as for good quality RNA. The likelihood that a fragment of rRNA will have no probe hybridization site increases with increasing fragmentation of the sample.
