DNeasy PowerLyzer Microbial Kitなら、高品質のゲノムDNAを1.8 mlの微生物培養液から分離できます。
このキットは、熱と界面活性剤に加え、0.1 mmのガラスビーズによる物理的破砕を組み合わせて微生物を溶解することにより、グラム（+/–）細菌、酵母および胞子を含む様々な微生物から首尾よくDNAを単離します。本キットにはPowerLyzer 24ホモジナイザーが推奨されています。

DNeasy PowerLyzer Microbial Kit (glass beads) and the DNeasy UltraClean Microbial Kit (garnet beads) were used to isolate DNA from gram positive E. faecalis bacteria using the PowerLyzer 24 Homogenizer at 2000 RPM for 5 minutes. Ten µl of each eluate was electrophoresed on a 1% agarose gel. Glass beads in the DNeasy PowerLyzer Microbial kit provided higher DNA yield using the PowerLyzer 24 Homogenizer. The DNeasy UltraClean Microbial Kit uses softer, garnet beads that are recommended for bead beating with a Vortex Genie 2.
