Why does the A peak reduction factor have to de set to 0.86 for the codon 61 assay in the therascreen NRAS Pyro Kit?
Quantification of mutations in the codon 61 assay involves a homopolymeric A peak. Testing has shown that the quantification is more accurate if the factor is decreased to 0.86.
