Do the QuantiTect Primer Assays work with QuantiFast SYBR Green Kits?
We have performed numerous tests comparing the performance of QuantiFast Kits and QuantiTect Kits with QuantiTect Primer Assays. Due to the optimized ion concentrations in the PCR buffers, both perform equally well with QuantiTect Primer Assays and do not require any adjustment of primer concentration.

QuantiFast SYBR® Green RT-PCR Kit
The QuantiFast SYBR Green RT-PCR Kit delivers fast and specific quantification of RNA targets by real-time one-step RT-PCR using SYBR Green I detection. Q-bond technology and an optimized, ready to use master mix enable shorter real-time RT-PCR run times, not only on fast cyclers with short ramping times, but also on standard cyclers. Q-bond technology and an optimized, ready-to-use master mix enable shorter real-time PCR run times, not only on fast cyclers with short ramping times, but also on standard cyclers. The combination of a hot start and a unique PCR buffer system in the ready-to-use master mix ensures highly sensitive qPCR on any real-time cycler without the need for optimization. For convenience, the master mix can be stored at 2–8°C.

QuantiTect Primer Assays
QuantiTect Primer Assays are genomewide, bioinformatically validated primer sets for use in SYBR Green-based real-time RT-PCR on any cycler. Assays are available for all genes from human, rat, mouse, and many other species. Each assay for a specific gene is supplied as a lyophilized mix of forward and reverse primers that can be easily reconstituted to obtain a 10x assay solution (reaction components for real-time RT-PCR need to be ordered separately). When used in combination with QuantiFast, QuantiTect, Rotor-Gene, or FastLane Kits for SYBR Green detection, QuantiTect Primer Assays guarantee highly specific and sensitive results in real-time RT-PCR that are comparable to probe-based detection.
