Why are two reagents used in the PAXgene Tissue System?

The PAXgene Tissue System involves two processes: fixation and stabilization. PAXgene Tissue FIX provides rapid penetration and fixation. PAXgene Tissue STABILIZER stops fixation and stabilizes the specimen for transportation and storage until processing.
