Can membrane proteins be expressed with QIAgenes expression kits?

Yes, membrane proteins can be expressed with QIAgenes. For expression of membrane proteins, eukaryotic expression systems (e.g., QIAgenes Expression Kits Insect/Mammalia) are usually better suitable than E.coli. However, in an internal R&D study, we showed that more than 50% of the membrane proteins tested could successfully be expressed in E.coli.
