Go Greener with QIAGEN

QIAGEN is dedicated to advancing scientific discovery and improving patient outcomes through sustainable practices across all operations, guided by the mission to “make improvements in life possible.” The Go Greener program offers eco-friendlier molecular biology products (as compared to traditional products) to help researchers adopt eco-friendlier practices without sacrificing performance. Our product design process takes environmental aspects into account.

Finding eco-friendlier products is easier

Finding eco-friendlier lab products shouldn't be difficult. That's why we are highlighting certain lab products, for example to allow users to cut down on waste and use less plastic compared with our standard products, while delivering the same results.

Look for the green leaf

Our Go Greener program highlights our more sustainable product alternatives, that address one or more of our sustainability categories. The products can be easily identified by the green symbol when browsing our website.

Our new GoGreener program

Our products are organized into four sustainability categories:

Less hazardous
Products designed to be less hazardous and safer for the environment.
Less waste
Products designed to generate less waste based on the principles of reduce – reuse – recycle.
Responsible shipping
Products designed for shipping with reduced environmental impact.
Improved stability
Products designed for enhanced stability to ensure less scrapping and reduce the need for cold storage.
These categories can help to find the right product to advance sustainability in the lab by reducing hazardous materials, cutting down on waste, or using temperature-stable solutions that reduce reliance on cold storage.
