What do I do if I get amplification in my no template control (NTC) with the KRAS and EGFR PCR kits?

As the Internal Control reaction is present in all the master mixes (template, primer and Scorpion) a signal is expected in the no template controls. There should not be a FAM signal in NTCs. We test all reaction mixes during quality control of kits to certify them contamination free. Any FAM signal in the no template controls is due to addition of a contaminant after shipping.  Note that reaction mixes should be dispensed with DNA free pipettes in a separate area to the addition of template in order to avoid contamination.
