QIAstat-Dx cybersecurity features

Built with patient privacy in mind

We take the security of your patients’ confidential information very seriously. We’ve included several important safety features in the design of QIAstat-Dx connectivity, powered by QIAsphere, to ensure patient data is secure.
Closed network
Closed network
QIAsphere does not connect instruments directly to the cloud. Instead, it connects to the QIAsphere Base, a gateway device that funnels communication to add an extra level of security.
De-identification
De-identification
Information that could identify patients or samples is de-identified by your QIAstat-Dx Analyzer before being sent to QIAsphere. Plus, the QIAstat-Dx Analyzer does not process or store protected health information (PHI) or personal identifiable information (PII).
Secure communication
Secure communication
Communication between your QIAstat-Dx, QIAsphere Base and the QIAsphere app is secured by a gold-standard HTTPS TLS 1.2 protocol, ensuring data protection.
