International Marketing Trainee Program

Are you a recent graduate with a degree in Biology, Biochemistry or Marketing looking to develop your expertise in Marketing Management – and to see firsthand how a truly global company operates?

In QIAGEN's Marketing Trainee Program, you'll gain hands-on experience in individually designed rotations through Marketing departments around the world. Upon completion, you'll take up a permanent Marketing role.

About our program

Together with you, we will design a personalized 18-24 months rotation plan, with each rotation lasting 4-6 months.

You will have the opportunity to select 3-4 Marketing departments or related function from the following overview:
  • Product Management (mandatory)
  • Strategic Marketing / Campaign Management
  • Regional Marketing
  • Performance Channels
  • Digital Experience

Rotation to our Research & Development department is also possible. You have the possibility of spending 1-2 rotations abroad in one of our international subsidiaries (e.g. in the US, Netherlands or Poland). And you'll get to know areas that work closely with Marketing, such as Sales and Production, to understand the workflows of a global company and to build a cross-functional network.

Who are we looking for?

You'll need a master`s or bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or Economics/Business Administration with a focus on Marketing. Applicants from other fields with a deep, proven interest in science and marketing are welcome to apply as well. We are also looking for an:

  • Open-minded team player with a positive attitude
  • Innovative thinker who is highly customer-oriented
  • Enthusiastic learner
  • Ambitious, flexible colleague who takes initiative
  • Strong communications skills in English
  • Very good knowledge of common Microsoft Office applications
  • Some relevant practical experience in marketing is desirable, such as through internships or student jobs

Where will I be based?
You will based in our operational headquarter in Germany (Hilden, near Düsseldorf) with the option to spend 1-2 rotations in one of our subsidiaries in Poland, the Netherlands or the U.S.

    We’ll send you an initial 60-minute meet-up, either face to face or online.

    3. Selection day and offer
    You will be invited to our assessment center which includes interviews, various exercises and the chance to meet current employees. At the end of the day, we'll give you feedback. If you have convinced us, we aim to make you an offer.
